Attendance Policy

All students are expected to attend class everyday.   If a student is absent from class at any point during the day for more than 15 minutes, it will be considered an absence.

Absences:

  • In a 1 credit course, dismissal will occur after the second absence since one day is equivalent to two weeks.
  • In a 0.5 credit course, dismissal will occur after the first absence.
  • The student will be required to make up any work missed from an absence.
  • There is no difference between an excused or unexcused absence.
  • Do not plan any appointments or trips during designated school hours.

Tardies:

  • Two tardies equal one absence. Tardies exceeding 15 minutes per day will be counted as an absence.
  • The student will be required to make up any work missed from being tardy.

Students who have two absences or four tardies or aggregate of absences and tardies that equal two absences, i.e. 1 absence and 2 tardies, will receive a grade of “F” and will be dismissed from summer school.

Disciplinary Policy

  • All DOE Chapter 19 rules apply. Please review with your child.
  • By submitting the Summer School online registration form, you are agreeing to the statements as laid out in the Technology Responsible Use Form.

Grade/Report Cards

Grades will be available in Infinite Campus and will be updated weekly.

Report cards will be mailed home within one week from the end of the session.
