COUGAR TIM LORGE MADE HISTORY AS THE YOUNGEST PERSON TO CROSS THE KA IWI CHANNEL
Class of 2026’s Kaiser Swim Team’s Captain, Tim Lorge became the youngest local swimmer at age 16, to swim the Kaiwi Channel (Molokaʻii to ‘Oahu). Tim completed this feat by swimming 34 miles in 15 hours and 27 minutes on Saturday, April 19, 2025. This feat comes just six months after being the youngest to complete the Maui Nui crossing.
